The mission of the Rutherford County Register of Deeds Office is to create a government operation that is effective, cost efficient, and customer friendly. We believe a customer-focused approach is the best way to achieve success and success is never final. 

We are NOT licensed and bonded to perform title searches; therefore, we NEVER guarantee that a property or deed is free and clear. We ALWAYS suggest you have a thorough title search done on said property by a title company or a licensed/bonded professional.

NOTICE REGARDING CONFIDENTIALITY OF COMMUNICATIONS: You are hereby advised that with a few narrow exceptions, pursuant to the Tennessee Public Records Act, T.C.A. 10-7-503, et. seq., the content of any communications, transmissions or attachments sent to, or received from the Rutherford County Register of Deeds office email address is a public record. The Register is unable to ensure the anonymity of individuals who communicate with the Deeds office or the privacy of personal information that may be contained in such communications including, but not limited to email, mailing or physical addresses; phone numbers; names of individuals identified in such communications; business information transmitted to the Register; etc.
